Ingredients
- ●1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- ●1/2 yellow onion, chopped
- ●1 clove garlic, finely chopped
- ●1/2 cup chopped toasted walnuts
- ●1/4 cup sweet vermouth
- ●1 can (7.6 fluid ounces) NESTLÉ® Media Crema
- ●4 cups water
- ●1/4 cup pesto sauce
- ●1 MAGGI® Vegetable Flavor Bouillon Cube
- ●1 pound dry penne pasta
- ●1/4 cup chopped basil
- ●1/4 cup grated Gouda cheese

Make It
Step 1
Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat. Cook onion and garlic until lightly browned. Season with salt and pepper and add the walnuts. Continue cooking, stirring frequently, for 5 minutes.
Step 2
Add vermouth and cook until the alcohol evaporates but does not reduce too much. Stir in Media Crema and pesto. Mix well and remove from heat.
Step 3
Boil water and bouillon and once boiling cook pasta for 5 to 6 minutes or until cooked. If you see that it is running out of water, you can add freshly boiled water little by little.
Step 4
Once pasta is cooked, add to prepared pesto sauce. Mix well and cook for 1 to 2 more minutes. Garnish with basil, walnuts and grated cheese.
